Purpose is very proud to announce that Refugees Welcome won the 2018 Webby Award for Best Website in Activism!

The Webby Awards is the leading international award honoring excellence on the internet. Purpose is thrilled to have partnered with UNICEF Global on Refugees Welcome, now honored amongst “the best of the internet.”

Refugees Welcome was also featured in the “Webby for Good” gallery, along with other projects that were recognized for expertly crafting work at the nexus of art and technology with a mission to change the world.

At Refugees Welcome, we believe that food has the power to bring people together, breaking bread and barriers simultaneously. When we started these dinners a little more than a year ago to bring people together around a table for a meal and conversation, we never dreamed it would grow into a program of hundreds of dinners in 5 countries. All around the world, we’ve heard amazing stories of friendships formed, companies launched and job connections being made.

Folks have dined together in places like Oslo, San Francisco, and Toronto, proving that no matter who you are and where you’re from, there is always a seat for you at the table. We urge you to reach out, break bread and reconnect with friends new and old. You never know who may need you, or who you may meet. Open up your heart and get that table set. Learn more here!

And more good news:

Loans4SME was a Webby Award Nominee in Websites: Financial Services/Banking for their work bringing clean green renewable energy to the 200 million that have no energy access in India.
